At conclusion, participants should be able to:
- Perform thorough exam to rule out dental, pulpal and periapical tissue etiologies.
- Exhibit mindfulness of this disease entity in the differential diagnosis of atypical head and neck pain.
- Emphasize the importance of communicating with and referring patients to our medical colleagues.
Presentation of patient with atypical jaw pain. Detailed medical history, radiographs, intra- and extraoral examination leading to diagnosis and treatment of disease entity will be presented. This disease entity occurs in two of every 1,000 people, but is relatively unheard of in the dental community.
