In Memoriam: Dr. Peter A. Paesani

It is with great sadness that the AAE shares the passing of Peter A. Paesani, D.D.S., of Rockford,
Illinois. A Life member of the AAE, Dr. Paesani passed away on January 11,
2017, at the age of 88. Dr. Paesani served in the 7th Division Army of Occupation in Far East, Korea. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and earned his certificate in endodontics from Northwestern University College of Dentistry. He maintained a private practice in endodontics and was an associate professor at Northwestern.

Dr. Paesani has the distinction of receiving the first AAE President’s Award, presented to him in 1997 by then-President Jerome V. Pisano. Dr. Paesani attended every AAE annual meeting since he joined the Association and for years was a familiar face at the meeting registration desk.
Dr. Paesani was Past President of the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club and he received the Illinois State Dental Society’s Distinguished Member Award.
He will be greatly missed.
