The Endo Wellness Challenge starts on Wednesday, September 22 at 12:01 a.m. CDT and ends on Sunday, September 26 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the step trackers integrated on their iPhone/Android smartphone via Apple Health or Google Fit.
- Download the "Endo Wellness Challenge" app from the Apple App Store or on Google Play.
- Complete the registration and pairing process.
- Pair your supported activity tracker. See the Challenge FAQ webpage for details.
- Start moving!
- To sync your step/activity data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard.
- Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your activity tracker.
- Please sync your step data at least one time per 24 hour period and before the Challenge end time to ensure all your steps count!
- Earn more steps with Bonus Activities!
If you participated in last year's Challenge, be sure to download this year's app. You can still log in using the email address you registered with last year by selecting "I already have an account," at the top of the in-app registration page. If you can't remember your password, you can use the Forgot Password feature.
Note: Apps are supported on the three most recent major iOS versions (e.g., iOS 14, 13, 12, 11) and the four most recent major Android OS versions (e.g., Android 10, 9, 8, 7) that have not been customized by the manufacturer.
Bank a few more steps to climb up the leaderboard.
Engage in multiple bonus activities to earn more steps and achieve your goals. Once the Challenge has started, you will earn bonus steps for each completed activity. Select the "Bonus Activities" icon to claim your points:
Post on the AAE Connection Wellness Challenge Thread about your participation and receive a QR code to scan for your bonus steps. Limit of one scan during the Challenge.
(AAE members only. Please allow up to 24 hours to receive the bonus step QR code. Post before 11 p.m. CT on Sept. 25 to ensure you have time to make the bonus steps count.)
Select the Donate option from the Bonus Activities selector in the app to automatically receive 100 bonus steps.
Learn more about the Foundation's work to support the wellness of the endodontic specialty and make a donation to receive a QR code for an additional 2,000 bonus steps.
Endo Wellness Challenge Guidelines
The Endo Wellness Challenge is complimentary for all participants. Consider showing appreciation for the Challenge with a donation to the Foundation for Endodontics. Remember, you can earn bonus steps and improve your standing on the leaderboard by pressing Donate in the Bonus Activities selector in the app. You'll also be rewarded with a QR code worth 2,000 steps if you make a contribution during the Challenge.
Participation Rules and Waiver
Participants of the Endo Wellness Challenge (“Challenge”) must be 18 years of age or older and must download the 2021 Endo Wellness Challenge App.
In participating in the Challenge, abide by all local stay-at-home orders and social distancing and face coverings orders or recommendations.
All federal, state and local laws apply.
I release the American Association of Endodontists and The Foundation for Endodontics from any liability resulting from my participation in the Endo Wellness Challenge, the acceptance and use of any prizes awarded, and injury or death and damages to any property related to the Challenge.
