AAE Member Receives Funding For Work In Nanomedicine

The University of Toronto announced “Professor Anil Kishen is receiving Canada Research Chair Tier 1 Funding for his work in oral health nanomedicine.” Kishen Lab’s work with nanoparticles since 2005 has yielded many innovations in the field, including “a natural alternative to fluoride” and “a remedy for tooth sensitivity that offered temporary relief immediately.”

With the funding, Dr. Kishen will continue his work over the next seven years “using multifunctional bioactive nanoparticles to look at wound healing and cellular crosstalk mechanisms.”
