Surgery Workshop 2018

Upcoming Surgery Workshop a Rare Chance to Drill Down into Endodontic Microsurgery

This February, the AAE will get down to the roots of the latest surgical technology, materials and techniques at Insight Track: Surgery Workshop. Taking place Feb. 9-10, 2018, in Las Vegas, the workshop will delve into all aspects of endodontic microsurgery.

Attendees of this exclusive program will spend a day-and-a-half viewing presentations and participating in hands-on workshops that will help refine skills and enhance knowledge of contemporary endodontic microsurgery.

The Surgery Workshop will kick off on Friday afternoon with presentations on contemporary microsurgical techniques moderated by renowned speaker Dr. James L. Gutmann. The program continues Saturday with workshops that will provide participants the opportunity for hands-on learning using a surgical operating microscope and state-of-the-art 3-D models. Topics will include crown lengthening, hard and soft tissue management, root-end resection, preparation and fillings, and suturing techniques.

“The AAE doesn’t often add new events to their program, so when I was invited to be on the planning committee for this new event, not only was I honored but I was also thrilled to contribute to the development of what promises to be an outstanding course,” said Dr. John D. Regan, member of the planning committee. “This surgical hands-on course will provide invaluable experience for our members not available elsewhere.”

Attendees also will learn how to utilize innovative materials and operating equipment for the best patient outcomes, and there will be plenty of networking opportunities and ways to connect and share best practices with colleagues.

“There will be numerous chances for sharing information on cases, challenges and methodologies with mentors and peers,” said Dr. Timothy C. Kirkpatrick, member of the planning committee. “Face-to-face conversations often lead to fresh ideas for growing and enhancing a practice. That’s invaluable.”

The Surgery Workshop is a must-attend for practicing endodontists who focus on surgical procedures. It offers a unique chance to focus in on this one aspect of the specialty without the distractions of a large, busy meeting.

Educators also won’t want to miss this chance to enhance their surgical curricula with material on new procedures, surgical tools, materials and methodologies. Plus, there are grants available to make it more affordable to attend at a discount.

The AAE understands that endodontists lead very busy lives and that it is tough to get away sometimes; however, we’ve worked hard to ensure that the experience gained will be well worth it. All AAE members receive discounted registration – and we’ve negotiated discounted rates at the luxurious ARIA Resort. In addition, we have chosen a location that is convenient and offers numerous leisure activities should you wish to enjoy some well-deserved downtime.

To sum it all up, attending Insight Track: Surgery Workshop this February in Las Vegas is a winning bet.
